January 2002 meeting

The Society met in the Fulton House, McConnellsburg, at 7:00 pm Saturday evening, January 26, 2002. The meeting was free and open to the public. An entertaining program featured a 3-D slide show of historic people, from native Americans through Abraham Lincoln, Dwight Eisenhower and the astronauts, then some of Dwight Harvey's own slides of Fulton County, Amish farmers, Niagara Falls, and Colonial Williamsburg. Guest speaker Curtis DeShong of Uniontown followed with a 20-minute talk on the DeShong family, who he believes can be traced back 6,000 years.
