HELP PRESERVE FULTON COUNTY'S ORIGINAL JAIL

The Historical Society is raising funds to restore the exterior of the 1851 Fulton County Jail building to the brick appearance it had when constructed. The Society contracted with Redland Brick and Siding Systems to apply their 1" thick handmade brick for a total cost of $62,000. A fund-raising letter, a benefit auction and current cookbook sales will cover half this cost. Another $30,000 will be needed when work begins in the spring. Your tax-deductible gift will benefit the Fulton County community and help keep our one-and-only jail standing for future generations. Donations may be mailed to the Fulton County Historical Society, Box 115, McConnellsburg, PA 17233.

FULTON COUNTY COOKBOOK

A new cookbook with 250 wonderful Fulton County recipes has been prepared by the Fulton County Historical Society as a fund-raiser to cover renovation costs on the exterior of the 1851 Fulton County Jail building. You will be surprised at the variety of recipes from snow ice cream to haymaker’s switchel! The books will be available at the Fulton House for $10, or by mail from our online store with postage of $2.50 for the first copy and 50 cents for each additional one. They will make great Christmas gifts and also help preserve the old jail.
